I'm a little surprised I haven't seen anything for this yet, but Awaken Realms launched a kickstarter for a new board game a week or two ago. The bulk of the miniatures already exist from earlier campaigns, but this brings them out in plastic and with a full board game to go with them. The model count seems to be... reasonable. The jumbo $300 pledge is probably going to be around 200 models, but if you do a two-player box for $100 (which gives 3 factions) you're only dealing with 50-60 which isn't... as ridiculously daunting.

I don't really anticipate doing a whole ton of updating (which is why I dragged my feet on posting anything... I'm a lazy, lazy man.) I wanted people to have a chance to see this before it closed though, because it *does* look interesting.

This is probably the best deal available for the game though, and you didn't include it in the pretty pictures!

I'm keeping an eye on this one. I like the idea of the factions being pretty distinct in how they play, and the inclusion of an enemy AI faction that you can play against solo or throw in as a 3rd wheel in a multiplayer game as well.

Their ongoing campaign/ story mode is an interesting choice as well.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I'm probably being dense but what are the models made out of? I see some are listed as resin or have resin options but I'm assuming this is boardgame plastic?

They haven't gone into details on the material yet, which is definitely a source of caution. I certainly have more than enough mediocre-quality miniatures from Mantic to last a life time.

I backed this one already as I love the Rha-zak minis. They look great on CG, bought their faction box.

I think it looks great. Been watching it and decided to go in for a Warchest, seems like the best deal. Really love the minis. Plus I know AW are good people

Some interesting concepts there. Might get some at some point if they come out available separately.

Really not a fan of the gimmicky - place a sticker/destroy stuff forever legacy game stuff that is becoming popular right now.

Some nice looking models. I was thinking... damn they really like Hexes... "From the creators of Neuroshima hex..."

Makes sense. :-p

Anyone else following this finding the updates a bit hard to read?

Are you having a hard time understanding what's in each pledge, or just a hard time reading the English in the updates? You can definitely tell that the people writing the posts are not native speakers, which is unfortunate but understandable. If it's a question about what's in a pledge though, I can try to answer that.

To be honest neither are very clear but it's pretty understandable if they're not a native english speaker as getting into proper detail about things is difficult enough without having to do it in another language. But yeah not 100% on the pledge levels etc (sitting on a collectors box level atm).

Is there a spread sheet or something I could look over?

This image seems to be a pretty good list if what you get. The collector's box adds in the books. And now I'm going to attend to my ridiculously needy cat before he eats my fingers.

Have they said who is handling plastic production for this?

That's what I'm wondering, too. The lack of plastic production prototypes is the main thing keeping me from backing this, as it'll inevitably lose detail and really make the models overpriced for what we are getting...

I really want to like the game and pledge, there just needs to be more evidence that the end result we will be receiving is worth the high cost of these miniatures.

Downloaded the books and the stories are entertaining, but the same as jSewell said makes me wait and see.

So this will be Kickstarter number four they are onto without completely fulfilling one yet?

First I've heard of problems with fulfilment.

Yeah I haven't heard of any issues either. Either way they just funded at £498,745, I think it said it was around $610k US.. not too shabby!

Decided to back a faction box on the hope of it being a good competitive game that I can get my non-hobby friends to play.
