What is the best way of modelling special weapons onto Space Marine Bikes? On my one and only squad I've got them wielding flamers in one hand while clinging onto the handle bar with the other. And frankly it looks crumby.

What are some cool conversions that can be done? I thought about swapping out one of the twin linked bolt guns on the front of the bike. Or strapping it to the side some how.

Any help and suggestions, or pictures of examples would be greatly appreciated.

They used to make some upper torsos of marines with a plasma and melta gun for the bikes you could use, along with a sergeant with power sword.

Otherwise, you could just have them instead of shooting in front of them, have them shooting across the body, and resting the weapon on the arm holding the handle bars

I usually stick a magnet in the right shoulder socket and make a few arms with various weapons as needed.

I like to have the arm straight out for the guns to rest on the handlebar and combat weapons sticking out the side more looking like they are lining up someone.

I did all of my conversions with one hand on the bike, one on the gun. Some straight out, some bent. I also have the old metal torsos for one of my meltas/plasma/sarge.

I actually have the old metal plasma and melta dudes that used to be available from GW. Didn't they used to come in the Boxset back in the day? But I swapped them out because I wanted flamers for some reason. Now I'm cheering things up and swapping it all out for grav.

Thanks for the replies folks, I think I may go down the route of some how swapping out the bolt gun at the front, and putting in a combi grav. That way I keep two bolt weapons for twin linked fun, but the special weapon is present too.

I do like the idea of magnetising though, I shall buy some kits and go from there. The deathwatch bike kit seems the best value, but I want an apothecary, so I'm going to pick up the ravenwing command set too, as that seems to have some lovely bits in it. As well as some lovely looking thunderhammers, which should be nice for building a Smashfether.
