Pulsating Possessed Chaos Marine

Vero Beach, Florida

Hey guys, I have a couple questions regarding the deathwatch and how they paint their armor. I understand that Deathwatch marines never leave their armor entirely black, as this would dishonor the suits machine spirit. Most marines tend to paint a kneepad in the primary color of their chapter and displaying his chapter badge. There are also many other ways marines go about painting their armor but I was wondering if they could carry out small parts of their chapter culture without deviance. For example, Crimson Fists paint their fists red, so could he be allowed to do that?

And for my second question, the right shoulder pad displays the marines chapter badge. Does this also display the company color (codex chapters) that he served in? Especially if the shoulder pad is the same exact one he used as a member of his chapter, I would imagine so. Its not cannon and I have no sources for this but I always thought that when marines join the Deathwatch, they bring two items with them: their left shoulder pad displaying their chapter badge and their personal defense weapon, or combat blade. The Deathwatch supplies them with everything else.

I never thought about this stuff too often until GW released all of this awesome Deathwatch stuff. Let me know what you guys think.

"Glory to the Iron father!"
