So someone pointed out to my previously ignorant self that the cataphractii termi captain has Slow & Purposeful which, it never ever having been relevant to my armies, I came to understand applies to the whole unit if a model has it. So a Catermi can join a squad of devs for constant shoosting, which is cheaper than a skyhammer and lasts all game (albeit for different purposes).

Consequently, with FRFSRF and such a captain, a gaurdsman infantry platoon can throw 140 lasgun shots *and then charge* for another 105 dice.

Is there a way for imperials to get a consistent AOE Rage and Furious charge that I wasn't aware of? I've always and forever been a treadhead but this is too much fun not to try.

Not like you're gona charge anything with a footslogging snp unit.

I mean there's nothing wrong with this combo. But one thing is megaboss + lootas or mek gunz. And another thing is imperium. Most good shooting platforms are allready relentless. You allready have all the buffs you need. And snp ends up as a no-sweep, no-run, no-overwatch thing.

I mean what are you going to buff? IG platoon? Yep, but than they will be left into the open cause they won't be able to sweep and won't overwatch. Devastators? You allready have grav cents and skyhammer. Why downgrade to regular devs with an expensive cataphractii character.

Imperium allready has it all. That's why it went unnoticed.
