This relic is incredible. I'd like to start this thread to brainstorm uses for it.

One I've thought of is teleporting sisters of silence. You have them board a razorback or rhino (or if you use the FAQ, just attach a dw IC to them), the beacon them to where ever using an IC in a drop pod, and then they can disembark and you've got a nullified target.

Are there other models with cool bubble abilities... or like nova spells or something that had trouble getting close but now with this relic can easily? Or maybe there's another application for the relic.

The House that Peterbilt

Its a good match for the Talon Strike force with Shadow Strike Kill team. Having a turn 1 beacon that can't be killed and delievered where ever you need it is pretty good combo with the turn 1 assault from deepstriking vanguard. That is the list I am building at the moment.

snoogums: "Just because something is not relavant doesn't mean it goes away completely."

Iorek: "Snoogums, you're right. Your arguments are irrelevant, and they sure as heck aren't going away."

It lacks the text forcing it to be on-board at the start of the turn. Unless I missed a long-winded argumemt, this provides some huge benefits to deep strike assault armies.
I've mostly used it as a rescue system: Drop a shooty squad in a vulnerable area against melee armies with just enough models to survive a round of assault. They get hit, weather it, and then I pull out.

winterman: That's a great use of it! I need to take a closer look.

Waaghpower:

Yeah it only needs to be on the board at the start of the movement phase. That seems like a good lighter use case of it! But are such squads worth saving?

Depends on the squad. I've been using it with 4x Frag Cannons and some other DW guys. Against a Khornehound list which does its damndest to avoid getting shot at by charging my entire army with 5-dog wolf squads.
It works well enough.

What is the best way to deploy the unit with the beacon?

A drop pod, and then survive a round for the reinforcements to pour in?

I can see attaching the IC with the relic to a unit with a lot of storm shields.
