Hello all, my name is John Boyd and I have been working on a miniature line for over the past year. This is a home grown venture and has been a lot of fun to do. The miniatures were made for few reasons. First I wanted to continue to play fantasy battles, I wanted it affordable for new players, I wanted it easy to store and last I wanted it to be fun. So I created Chronicles of the Wayfarer. It is a 15 mm fantasy war game that is Epic scale. Figures are mounted 3 to a base because they are very small. Due to the detail and poses the figures are resin. Also these are expert level models because you will have to glue things like banners or weapon options.

I have started a Facebook page if you like what you see and would like to continue to follow the project's progress. Currently we have two armies completed and they will be available after the first of the year.
https://www.facebook.com/Chroniclesofthewayfarer/

The first preview here is of the Knights of the Kiln. The line has 44 figures in it including Cavalry, Heroes, Catapult, Chariot and coming soon Storm Towers and a Siege Fortress, Keep in mind these are 15mm figures they are smaller than a dime.

These are called the Shield Legion, these are preproduction models painted, with dime for scale

A Hero called a Lawgiver - He has two right arm options, a book or a severed head

The Knight of the Kiln - They have two right arm options, a sword or hammer

The concept looks really nice. I would like to see them also in 28mm scale.

I hear what you are saying I am a fan of that scale myself and since the first two armies are done we have done a couple 28-30mm figures. Here is a sample of the Lawgiver Knight which you can see in the 15mm pictures as well.

The reason I decided to go 15mm is because I wanted to include some very large creatures at a physically manageable size and cost like below.

Keep asking question, I appreciate the input good or bad.

These look fantastic, and big thumbs up on including big warbeasts. I'm usually a 6mm fantasy guy, but I'll definitely be buying these.

I would be all over some of that in 28mm. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on your stuff.

Try to get some shots of a full lineup of miniatures displayed on the table like how it would look playing a big game. That sells the idea better.

I actually did test at several sizes. Here is a picture of a 10mm vs 15mm.They both looked pretty good the 10mm just has less detail. I enjoy the painting part so even the 15mm can be a challenge some days. There are quite a few sets of good 15mm rules so I decided on 15mm it was a good compromise on size, cost and detail. 6mm is very small I will agree that it works well for modern or future war type of games.

As for game play pictures, They will be coming soon. I actually have a quick play set of rules done and created counters for people to play test with. I will update this with more information as we go.

I find myself painting more and more in 15mm.

These guys give me a bit of a Chronopia vibe. In a good way too.

Would love to see that Lawgiver Knight with all that blinged out detail at just about any scale though. Very nice looking.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

This is exactly what I thought and since Fisrtborn miniatures are the ones I cannot find proxies for, these minis in 28mm would be an instant buy!!

The figures have quite a few influences and I hope everyone finds something that sparks their imagination. Keep in mind these are 15mm it is easy to forget and think they are larger.

Here are a couple more new pictures for you. All these models are currently in production and we hope to have the Knights of the Kiln figures available by the end of the year. Lots more to show in this army. Once we have this army out the second army will be shortly behind it.

The chariot horses definitely need the detail that the cavalry has, but everything looks great! If the price is right, they'll make a great Kingdoms of Man army for my 15mm Kings of War collection.

Any idea how you will sell them in packages? I personally like how Splintered Light sells their forces in sets of 12, but only because I base my 15mm forces 3-wide on a 25x50mm base (as a KoW 'troop').

Barring conflicts with any setting tou are creating, you should also definitely make the lawgiver in 28mm, it would make a great "monster" for the 15mm forces.

Packaging and Price
This is a great question and feedback from you would be greatly appreciated. We realize and hope people even if they don't like what we are doing will like the figures. There are still seveal units yet to be previewed like the Crossbowmen, Shield Legion and Rangers as well as about 4 more Heroes. Our game is based 3 to a base so 6-12 is a logical package size for us. so you would get 3-6 of each troop pose. Leaders and standards will be sold as a lone pair. Heroes and support as a group of 3. With all this said we think we will offer a pick and pull option but they will be slightly more expensive due to the handling. Splintered Light has some good looking figures and I like them myself. These figures a a lot more detailed and they will be done in resin to preserve the quality..

Another area feed back that would be helpful is the units in the pictures will run about $8-10. The larger models depends on the size. I do believe that is where the market is what do you think?

We will make each unit in 28mm as we go and our hope is to have open rule for unit creation so you can add any figures you feel will enhance your game experience.

We don't have to run a Kickstarter to bring this product to market, however we are thinking it might be fun to kick each army off in Kickstarter to give people the chance to pick them up in advance for any system they may be playing with a few incentives and maybe an introductory price. So it is very possible you may see them on KS by end of year or first of 2017. We have two armies complete and the next two are ready to be worked. I will post a announcement here prior to doing that.

There are two races completed and two more are currently being finalized and 3D rendered. We will be doing a release with the first two armies and a small full color beta rule book. We will also have print and play counters for people who what to play before they pick their figures.

Here are some pictures of the Kindred. We continue to release new pictures on the Facebook page and we still have to reveal 30% of this army. Enjoy!
