Nurgle Predator Driver with an Infestation

Here's my attempt at using the Chaos Warband. I like the idea of the bonuses and ObSec, while using my favorite combo of Nurgle Bike Lord + Spawn. The Nurgle Bikers with the decked out champion I haven't tried yet, but it is an attempt at making another fast moving threat. They'll get shredded by ignores cover grav, but should be otherwise somewhat resilient. Thoughts?

I think this armylists is decent until you get to the Knight part.

He will be holding the line, supporting the correct positions, but at 1850 isn't there a better way? I think you are missing out by not including any Sorcerers.

The Havoks need a Rhino, full stop. Its not for them to use, its to have a 3rd obj sec vehicle tooling around for objectives. I would recommend changing out the Lascannons for Autocannons. People hear 4 Lascannons, and they immediately mark the target as a heavy threat. With 4 Autocannons, they are still strong, but are relegated downwards in threat level. I have been using the Black Crusade Detachment for half a dozen games since release, and Autocannons do work without entering the primary threat zone.

As for the Ignore Cover Grav vs your Spawn? I believe it cannot wound them, as Spawn have no save.

3 Bikers is enough. Combimelta on the champs is a flavor choice, and although I think it is too much, others seem ok with it. They likely do not need Mark of Nurgle, but you have a good theme.

I really think you should at least make room for the Objective Secured Sorcerer in the Chaos Warband. Or drop the Knight and get yourself 3 to 5 Sorcerers to give your Spawn majority armor saves and Psychic goodness. The Black Crusade Warband can make a really nasty Psychic Deathstar

I think the dual gatling knight is a good idea. Very useful for getting rid of transports, monstrous creatures, walkers etc. It can interact with lots of things that might cause the rest of the list problems. Seems a shame to lose the D sword but double gatling cannons are scary

I like the bike bike squad too. I'd keep it at five to keep those meltaguns alive for longer

I kind of agree on the havocs though... if it were my army I'd consider swapping those lascannons for autocannons, swap the second gatling cannon for a chainsword and then you're almost at a second unit of autocannon havocs. 8 autocannons and a D-sword or a gatling cannon and four lascannons... tough choice but your set up seems perfectly fine. Alternatively just swap the lascannons for autocannons and add three extra guys to the unit.

Lascannons have a place but I'd be nervous fielding a unit of five where every lost model is going to hurt, even behind a void shield.

Good list anyway
