Right now I have the chaos marine and deamons codex.

For a mostly Nurgle player, are there any other books I should pick up?

So far I have seen Crimson Slaughter, Curse of the Wulfen, Traitor's Hate, and Black Legion. Even used that is a good chunk of change.

Traitor's Hate is a must-buy. The others are marginal.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Siege of Vraks is great for a Nurgle player and the best source of FW chaos units.

SoV still contains some special characters and Nurgle options not in IA13, such as the purge detachment.

Also the SoV fluff is almost worth buying the entire book for.

I actually googled this book to see how much it was. Well, it's about a 100 bucks.

And somehow, a PDF of the book popped up too...

Shhhh, dakkadakka does not support these acts of heresy.

By the way, what books have all the primarch rules and fluff? (not the novels, but game books)

For the Horus Heresy, the big black books from Forge World have all the fluff and rules in, with only a few Legions and army lists featured in each book, the red books have the rules from the various black books gathered together in a single place but almost no fluff.

You probably know this already, but the only books you absolutely NEED for those armies are their respective base codexes - Codex Chaos Space Marines and Codex Chaos Daemons.

All the other supplements are optional. However, for builds where you have the Marines as the primary detachment, Traitor's Hate is strongly recommended, as it provides options better than most of the other CSM supplements.

Also, if you buy the official Daemonic Incursion edition of the digital Chaos Daemons book, you don't need to buy Curse of the Wulfen, as the DI Edition comes with all those new formations and powers. The DI Edition codex is less than half the price of the physical Wulfen book.
