Hello everyone I know bit of an odd question a friend of mine played starship troopers the miniatur game back when it first came out he still has his mobile infantry army and all the rule books and army books but sadly doesn't have his arachnid army anymore I need the size of the warrior bugs so I can look for alternatives thank you all

I don't have any on hand, but from what I recall, they were typically in the 80-100mm from leg to leg range. The heads were 60-70mm long and 20-30mm wide?

I know it's not specific measurements, but hopefully that helps.

It does indeed Goremaul thanks a lot it's helped a heap as I tried looking online for sizes of them or the scale compared to say 40k miniatures but you couldn't find any and buying the actual miniatures is kinda out of the question for the normal fodder as you can guess I'm eyeing up alternatives so yeah the best I've got at the moment is spider models (well toys which are roughly the same size as the warrior bug leg to leg) I promise you all you'll be seeing a new Kind of battle report from me I will apologise in advance I am using alternative models which are of good quality (from the photos) but lack the impact of a true warrior bug

Man, I didn't realize it was so hard to get the minis for this game - I bought a bunch of them right when the game when belly up for cheap. I plan to use them in my Tyranid army actually...

You might be able to mock some up with Carnifex Scything Talons for the legs, foamboard and a bit of greenstuff to make the bodies...

Also, here is a 3D paper model you can print & assemble of the bugs. I think it's a bit big but shouldn't be too difficult to resize...

Yeah i was shocked by some of the prices for them I remember seeing I think 20 warriors on eBay for $260 that's only something like 300pts I was thinking of modelling them if the spiders I've bought (well being bought ) don't workout but the only problem is sadly I'm okay with building models from bits but from the ground up I have the worst luck but i will try that awesome thank you Stormonu that looks awesome fingers crossed it won't

Hopefully by Christmas I'll have all the stuff needed to get some games under the belt so to speak I do warn you however I will be using proxy models for now due to them already being bought for me (I'll be honest I was more shocked that my family picked up on what I wanted and got it a day later ) but anyway I must all everyone what would you like to see a campaign with a bit of back story? I heard they are redoing the movies. You might see a redo of the game to tie in with that.
