I'm having a problem with my H&S Evolution. After not using it for quite some time I have come back to it finding the trigger is sticking. I've stripped it down (as far as I could) give it a good clean. Still sticking. After a little research, I think I need to remove the part labeled 'N' in this diagram (The air valve?)
and clean it and maybe replace the seal. But I'm not having any luck. It's stuck fast and there is nothing to grip onto to turn it. I've tried pliers with foam to stop it from scratching the chrome, it still scratched it and never budged. I know it disassembles as illustrated here

but how? /cries
Thanks for any help.

I don't know much about air brushes, still learning. Have you by any chance use some lubrication on the trigger stem?

Also if you look at N, and you press the little pin with your finger, does it come up fast by it's self? The reason I say this is I did this on my airbrush gun and N was working fine but the trigger seemed to stick and move up slowly. I lubricated it with just with a bit of oil and it didn't stick anymore and "popped" up almost instantaneous.

I don't have this model airbrush so cannot comment on the mechanicals, but do you use airbrush lube? A bit of this around the trigger will stop it sticking for sure.

Is it physically sticking down or just letting air out and that's making you think it's sticking? I've had the latter on my infinity and it's the screw thats in the bottom of 'N' thats moved and allowing too much air through.

just checked both of mine and they come loose easily, maybe soak it in warm soapy water to see if that loosens it, only other thing i can think of is to grip it with a vice and turn it, if it does damage the valve area, its about £15 to replace it as 1 piece (parts N,O,P AND Q)

I've tried lube. It isn't helping. I've adjusted the screw on the bottom and that makes it a bit better but I still need to remove part 'N' to clean and possibly replace seals now or in the future. When the trigger is depressed it rises slowly back into the off position when released. if that is a batter explanation. I will try soaking it in warm water. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Okay, Problem solved. Soaked in warm soapy water for 20 minutes. I still couldn't open by hand but the pliers got it off this time. Kind of ruined the finish but function over finish right? Thanks for the suggestions.
