Hey guys, as an avid 40k collector, I've been desperately wanting to collect IHs and now I get to finally go about putting together an entire company of the Iron sons of Ferrus. But I have 2 questions.

Firstly, I was looking on Lexicanum and it specifically said that every clan company is a separate entity and is responsible for it's own recruitment and as such, there are no formal veteran and scout companies. Yet it continued on to show a picture displaying the 10 companies and low and behold, the veteran 1st and the 10th scout companies are present. So I'm wondering how companies are actually assembled, because it seems Lexicanum keeps contradicting itself. Maybe you guys know something I don't.

And lastly, bionics. Clearly, the IHs love bionics, and make very extensive use of bionics but to what extent? Do all tactical marines have bionics? If so, do they ever wear their armour over it? And I bought the IHs upgrade pack from GW, is there any other bionics and modifications I can get my Iron hands on?

Thank you to all who offer me some much needed assistance. Can't thank you enough.

The fluff keeps switching between each clan being independent and IH being (mostly) codex compliant.

Every IH has a bionic hand - their own Iron Hand. Some wear armour over their bionics, others their armour is the bionic. FW do some bionics, as do 3rd parties like Anvil.

OK, so I'll just have to settle with whichever fluff I like most. Thanks, I'll check out Anvil.

Lots of IH players take the Clan Raukaan roster from Wrath of Iron as the template.

In my head canon the duplicity in fluff of this chapter is easily resolved; due to bureaucratic error, warp accident, fraud or whatever it may be...

There are two chapters that carry the name 'Iron Hands'.
