I've been stalking this forums for information for a good while now then I figured "hey why not just join in"

I've only been introduced into Warhammer 40K for almost a year ago by my good friend and it quickly rose to became my favorite setting. I started playing Dawn of War and other games until about a month ago when I decided to become hobbyist and started actual wargaming with my friend and his battle buddies.

Immediately I bough the Warhammer 40,000 set that come with big rulebook and 2 other fluff and artwork book for me to quickly catch up on the lore and setting. (only to later realized I can get rulebook from kill-team and mont'ka box but hey the big, hardcover one isn't bad)
then the next problem hit me, there's a TONS of faction to choose from, even for astra militarum there's different regiment models to choose; the Tau initially have my interest (and still do) but I decided to go Astra Militarum instead. (my buddies run Cadian AM and Space Marine so we can be battle brothers).

With the starting faction decided I browse the different regiment to start the hobby, the Good ol' Cadians? super badass looking forgeworld exclusive (and expensive as hell) Death Korps of Krieg? Catachan? Elysian? nope! there's one regiment that quickly became my favorite, both the looks and the fluff, the defender of Armageddon, the Steel Legion! (and fortunately not that hard to get one from GW website).

As of right now I have about 2 kill-team game and 4, 500pt game done, so definitely getting accustomed to the rules and tactic, my dream is to one day run an apoc game of Warzone: Armageddon, which is definitely far off. Eventually I'll get to finish all the painting and upload some gallery; now If I can just thin this paint a little bit more...

Welcome to the Forums newcomer!

Sounds like you've had a mighty interesting year! And you cashed in at the right time, seeing that GW was only remaking their old Steel Legion model range for a week or two

An Apocalypse game is a mighty target, and hopefully one you'll reach; get to grips with the game, make friends at your LGS and expand on your collection and, with luck, you'll get Warzone Armageddon proper.

Hope you enjoy your time on the forums - plenty of people to help out here if you ever need it

Happy hunting!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
