Caught a YouTube match from the UK that reminded me that the shuttle has a title (though probably too pricey compared to long range scanners). And that got me thinking about an alt. Palp Defender/ace list.

(Note: this is at best a post Xmas list for me & unless the shuttle with different crew is a good call, no use for my regionals list for early December)

==================
99 points
------

Colonel Vessery (38)
TIE Defender (35), Juke (2), TIE/x7 (-2), Stealth Device (3)

Omicron Group Pilot (32)
Lambda-Class Shuttle (21), Emperor Palpatine (8), ST-321 (3)

“Omega Leader” (29)
TIE/fo Fighter (21), Comm Relay (3), Juke (2), Stealth Device (3)
-----------

It puts a bit more points in the shuttle than most (which has to be a consideration in timed matches & mov) but it keeps the shuttle relevant for more than just Palp as long as it survives.

Vessery is a fairly standard build (lone wolf would be a bit of a waste unless/ until he's the last one left).

Vs Palp Defenders, I'd give Omega Leader the best shot at taking down Ryad absent a mirror match.

And not being familiar with Palp aces, I'm not sure how this would do vs Dengaroo or a Dengar party bus list.

Let me know what you think

I don't think it's a good idea. Juke on Vessery is kind of a waste because you have nothing else to force your target to spend focus tokens (TIE/D double taps, sensor jammer on the shuttle, etc), and the title on the shuttle isn't really doing all that much. OLeader is pretty good at setting up target locks already and the shuttle is likely to be in range to target lock normally (since the shuttle is the obvious priority target to go after), so you're probably better off spending those 3 points elsewhere.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I've only found the shuttle helpful if you're running it this way:

Jendon (transfers TL)
Weapons engineer (double TL)
ST-321

which works out at a whopping 32pts

If you want the target locks that is. to me it's not worth the points sink...
