Been playing around with building a 30k list for a while but nothing has really struck me, until I came up with this list.

Its mainly aimed to be fun to play, centered around tanks and target saturation, bringing very little else only having 3 troop choices for taking and holding objectives.
However I think bringing 6 Malcador Chassis tanks will give most opponents a major headache, especially as every tank is a threat and fairly hard to kill.

Keen to get some feedback as I'm tempted to give this list a go but buying all those Malcador's is a large investment.

It's very difficult for me to comment effectively because i don't know what the plan for the Ordo Reductor Detachment.
However, i'm not sure about the two graviton guns on the secutors (bit of a waste of four ppfusils if the gravitons get aimed at a vehicle) and the photon thruster on the thallax.

If you do end up saving some points via weapon swaps then the 'servo-rig' will be a good purchase since Calleb can put his 'master of destruction' rule to the macrocarid and fix something on another vehicle the macrocarid is alongside.

Another thing is if you give Calleb Decima the 'Decima Invictus' upgrade he becomes an eternal warrior and gets 'relentless' so he can use his 'curse of the omnissiah' rule after disembarking and not being a liability to himself with 'gets hot'.

More Minotaurs maybe?

I was thinking you'd roll the Infernus and Macrocarid Explorator with Calleb Decima and the Myrmidon Secutors straight up the middle of the field, using their template weapons to clear objectives, while supported by the Dracosan's demolisher cannons following close behind.

The Myrmidon Secutors can then act as a bulkward on an objective to halt/kill of any infantry counter attacks, while the Veletaris hold the objective. I went with two grav guns as insurance against the potential of any dreadnoughts and also to hopefully prevent enemy infantry from easily charging them due to the 'Pulse' special rule. If needed the Veletaris with axes can act as a counter charge to prevent them from being trapped in combat.

The Maclador can use its speed to flank or be moved where needed in a hunter killer type role, similarly the Thallax will likely be used a hunters, going after support vehicles and other backfield items.

The Minotaur, quad mortar and Valedor will sit more back field with longer ranged support, while the Tactical Support Section will be nearby, preferably with decent line of sight to improve barrage weapon accuracy.

That is a valid point regarding the Servo-rig, and also upgrading Calleb. Upgrading to 'Decima Invictu is sounds worthwhile, I'd just need to strip the points from somewhere to make it happen; 30 points aren't hard to find.

Thats a good point about dreadnoughts - the contemptor-mortis is the cockroach of 30k.

Yes, being charged by dreadnoughts scare me.

After mulling over this list for a while, I think I'm settling on running a pure Ordo Reductor list instead

Welcome to the fold, fellow adept!
I am a bit sad to hear that there's one less SA army out there, but i can't honestly dissuade anyone from the kitbashing fun the ORAT unit entry provides.

I'm sure the other mechanicum players will agree with me that if you want any opinions on any units/tactics/force organisation we'll all be happy to give our take on things.
