I've played a handful of games and decided I want more Angry Trees. I am currently considering another Start Collecting! Sylvaneth box just to get a solid core of Dryad infantry and another Treeman (And another Branchwych, but she's not so important to me as the others). But at the same time I kinda want to get some Tree Revenants and Kurnoth Hunters for the really cool and varying rules and models.

So I'm just looking for a second opinion from someone who actually knows what's going on. Thoughts?

I think the core of every list I made basically included 2-3 boxes of the start collecting. After that is when I'd branch into other boxsets.

If you want to expand to 1k points, go for a box of tree revenants and hunters. Thats what i have atm. I build the hunters with scythes.
Next purchase for me is another SC box. So both ur options are valid, but revanants + hunters gives you a better 1k point army i think!

I would advise you to build one treelord ancient and one spirit of druthu. If you want to play a gnarlroot wargrove you can add a order wizard´, like the loremaster, who has awesome synergies with spirit of druthu. by then you are nearly at your 2k points.

Dont forget to buy some woods!

If you get the 1 of each of the box sets, alarielle and then make some wildwoods out of foam and cardboard or w/e, you'll probably never need to by another kit. Hell, the christmas box alone is a tournament level vanguard army.

The new battleforce box for sylvaneth seems like a pretty good deal, too.
