Despite my best attempts, the weekend has ended ... BUT! That does mean it's time for a brand-new Glacial Geek Battle Report! https://youtu.be/qxNcJjy3-P8 This week my Dark Angels and Deathwatch take on the Tau! During a routine assessment mission, the Dark Angels land on an old Imperial planet to look into why they had stopped communications with Terra 300 years prior. Once upon the surface they realized that the planet had been turned into a Forgeworld of sorts by the Tau, pumping out battle suits to be used in the fight against the Imperium of Man. Realizing the importance of the mission now, the Sons of the Lion called in for reinforcements from the group best suited for purging the alien, the Deathwatch. Will the combined might of the Watchers in Death and the Unforgiven be enough to clear this planet of the xenos filth, or will the Greater Good over come the assault and continue their build up to war? Watch and find out!

Nice batrep, and as always nice to see the Dark Angels and Deathwatch teaming up. It gives me yet more ideas on how I'll run them once I get some Deathwatch. That Tau list was pretty strong; you did well to last as long as you did against it.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

I have been enjoying your batreps a lot more than other producers (cough MWG cough...), I enjoy the formatting, the thoroughness of the army lists, and the various memes thrown into the batrep

Will you ever be building the deathwatch into a full army or just keeping them as a small allied force? I would adore some full deathwatch batreps around the internet as they are quite hard to find, but if you have no intention of expanding them besides an allied force, then no pressure.

On a similar note, the only little thing that leaves me wanting is the lack of army selection, and that's simply because you only have one army, and that's alright, I understand how it's hard to expand and funds/painting time are limited, but I think a few small 1500/1850 point armies that you could play would help switch it all up... maybe a loner army?

Just a thought, considering that even with the limited army selection I look forward every Monday for another batrep shows that you have a good thing going for you guys!

Keep it up!

Thank you! I kind of started into doing these with the idea of doing the things that I thought were entertaining to watch, so fully painted, good shots of the armies, some good laughs, that was the intent, so I'm glad people have responded to that :-D
I definitely plan on expanding the Deathwatch and I've bought a ton more stuff that needs to be built, but time has been hard to come by lately :-P
I also plan on making a Genestealer Cult army as well because I wanted to make an army as non-Space Marine-y as possible and GSC fits the bill ;-)
Thanks for watching though and I'm super glad you enjoy them! :-D
