Hi guys, there is a story to it, as always...

I finally got overwhelmed by how big modern "28mm" miniatures grew to be: a decade ago an average human miniature would rarely exceed 30mm to the top, now - it's hard to find something below 32mm. It might look insignificant but I found out that for me it is a big deal. The main downside is miniature gaiming becoming less and less portable. Bigger miniatures need bigger scenery, bigger tables, more room to store etc.

For some time I've been looking for a suitable substitute for my gaming needs and surprisingly found that there are very few fantasy miniatures in "15mm" scale bracket, and what I was able to find lacks in quality and detail. So I decided to make them myself =)

This thread will be about my venture in to the realm of 15mm miniature sculpting, 1:100 scale to be precise. This is a completely new scale for me to work with, but I aim to make something more than a mere token, with as much detail as I can squeeze into this small size.

Firs I'll try to do a dwarven hunter, loosely based on my WoW character and here is a picture of his owl pet that'll be resting on one of his arms:

Sorry for blurry photo, but I was lucky that my phone was able to get any focus at all - the bird is 4 mm tall, and the rod it sits at is a №4 guitar string.

Thanks for reading, folks!

Some WIP shots of both dwarf and owl:

Not sure if I should add anything. Any input? =)
