So not the revival of dystopian wars I was hoping for, but instead a naval game for wild west exodus, which may or may not use some of the old dystopian wars models.

Not good news.

If you re-release the old model range, you may get some business from me as I need to complete a couple of fleets, but my interest in the new version of the game just took a hard nose dive.

Warcradle staff have come across as a bit adversarial on FB / a couple of other forums, getting into heated arguments with dystopian wars fans. It seems like an odd approach for a company. I don't think it helps that there are some hardcore fans of the Spartan game, and where people were hoping for warcradle to pick up where Spartan left off they seem to want to change everything about the game, making sweeping changes to the fluff, model range and by the impression they give off the rules. Beasts of war have posted an interview with Stu at warcradle with some updates, mainly about WWX I didn't hear anything about dystopian wars that we didn't already know, except a mention that a first look at the new game should come at the UK games expo in June.

I not thrilled by any of the new designs either, they just look a bit too busy and fantastical. But really glad to hear the old stuff will be made available, warcradle are sure to get some of my money in June.

I just hope some of the stuff from the Kickstarter seems the light of day.

Agreed not all mini's will work in plastic, but a competitively priced plastic starter would be a huge boost for the new edition.

Besides as long as the old stuff is still available it's a win win.

I realized there is one concept i liked the look of, the giant cyborg whale for the CoA. Hope they pull that one off (I.e. A waterlined version, not some flying through the air fish AoS style bs)

There are hardly any DW model's which didn't have some metal component, I know any Prussian ships I've painted did, and all of the dreadbot's had metal add on's.
I think the covenant are the only faction I have that mostly have resin turrets.

I'm now worried that the bit's I need to finish my current fleets won't come up as part of the classic's line.

The pricing seems very good on these. There's only one item I want on that list so will probably wait before placing an order but this is a good start by warcradle.

I'll have to order an elba, and probably some zeno's. Good to see these coming out at a fairly good pace, still a couple more things I'd love to see make it.
