Hey guys, I'm coming up with fluff for my followers of Khorne and was wandering if I could get some feedback.

This is just the basic idea:
When the world was collapsing and Chaos reined supreme, a man called Artorius (working name), lost his family. While his soul went to Sigmar, his family's were consumed by Death. He was made an Eternal but he never quite believed in Sigmar. He thought Sigmar had come too late, letting his family die to the Grand Alliance of Death. As he died in battle and was resurrected multiple times, he began to further question his faith as he lost his humanity bit by bit. Eventually he went rogue, leaving the ranks of the Stormcast Eternals to seek vengiance against Sigmar for letting his world and family be destroyed.

He's now collecting an army of chaos for his cause, Khorne quickly taking interest in him and his power, granting him the power of deamhood (using the Lord of Chaos figure, who can turn into a daemon prince if he slays the enemy general). A gathering of Khorne Bloodbound have sided with him to help him as well, led by a mighty lord of Khorne.

I have two questions:

1) Could Khorne have somehow harnessed Artorius' Stormcast Eternal resurrecting power somehow, allowing Artorius to still keep resurrecting but under Khorne, instead of going back to Sigmar? Maybe through some ritual of blood and skulls and other such Khorne business?

2) Does that all work in the fluff?

Thanks

Sounds cool to me. Don't know how well it fits the fluff, but it's neat!

Clocks for the clockmaker! Cogs for the cog throne!

I do recall a time where Nagash managed to get Stormcast souls to go to the Realm of Death instead of back to Sigmar, but I don't remember where I saw that. It's certainly possible, so as long as the reason for doing so is believeable enough it should work.

The only problem I can think of is that I remember the "being sent back to Sigmar" thing had magical energy involved, same with the lightning transportation. The problem being Khorne has a bit of distaste for Magic and Psykers etc, so I don't know if he would want to use a method like that.

If you wanted an example of Chaos "reforging", look into Skarr Bloodwrath(sp?). He is a Khorne hero who is known for dying several times, just to be revived by Khorne.

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!

Oh that's cool. Skarr gets reborn through the spilled blood of his enemies.
I could imagine, even when Artorius is cut down and the enemy walks away satisfied with their victory, Artorius rises up from the pool of blood that stains the battlefield

Fluff wise correct? I have no clue. I like this. It's almost similar to my fluff that I was creating for my force. It's on hold now, but you have reminded me what I have stopped.

For me, my fluff is the names are Sigmar the Coward. Sigmar the False god. Sigmar the Betrayer. He is a coward for betraying all the humans or mortals and abondanded them. He is a coward since he stays in his Citedal and steals souls for his own plans.

One soul he stole didn't even die, he was ripped from his mortal body just as he was about to save his family/clan/city from evil. If he wasn't ripped from mortal body his family could have live, or the very least, he could have died with them or for some others died with honour. Now that honour is taken away from them.

After a time the truth was finally revealed and they have left Sigmar's gaze and will oppose him at all costs. Some will defile their bodies to those who have murdered their family. If they can't hurt Sigmar physically they will harm him emotionally. So some Stormacasts will grow demonic wings, (thing of Stormcats with Tyranid gargoyle wings, looks sweet) while others will shred of the armour of Sigmar and fight Sigmar. Others are shamed for not dying with honour or are shamed for being transformed into a human when as a mortal they were not, so will wear the armour and live among their kinsman be separated or not live in public because of the shame they are not a Seraphon or Giant or what ever they were before. They are still loved from the clan but only come out when it's time for battle and revenge.

I might have to add your fluff to mine now.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Auticus wrote: Or in summation: its ok to exploit shoddy points because those are rules and gamers exist to find rules loopholes (they are still "legal"), but if the same force can be composed without structure, it emotionally feels "wrong".

Cheers Davor, your stuff sounds really cool as well
I see we had a very similar idea (great minds). I like the idea of having more depth to a Chaos army, as opposed to the more recent "blood and skulls cos evil cannibals yo!"
The human aspect that we've added makes it a lot cooler imo. I've also got the blood loving freaks added in there, cos it's always fun to have some barbaric freaks added into the mix haha.

I've always liked Space Marines in 40k and I started off looking into Age of Sigmar for the Stormcast Eternals. But looking more into a deeper Chaos army has really caught my attention as it can allow for quite cool characters. The Mighty Lord of Khorne I have leading the Bloodbound guys, for instance, was an honourable knight before the collapse of the planet. But his lust for glory got the better of him, and he was quickly roped into a deal with Khorne to gain that glory... by doing heinous things for skulls and blood, delving deeper and deeper into paths he feels more guilt ridden about going down, like leading the cannibalistic Bloodbound against Sigmar, alongside Artorius' traitorous legions
