so these guys are only 75% of the way there for details and a couple more coats on shoulder pads for a bit of fade downwards
then orange and another damper
had to get a bit brown because of white primer...
and kharne's gun and skully bits on his headpiece and axe need to be brought slightly towards brass...
man, red is tough.
figured brush control after seeing how many screaming skull layers covers ink spills on primed tau suits
but MUCH still left to cover with brushes.
haven't done a yellow or blue army
painted some stealers with purp, tau scrskull, DA green, and khorne for my first go with red proper.
cba for airbrush because id only get it out for priming and highlights and ill prob only have enough models for that to be worthwhile once I'm deep into a job.

also, some of the before poses were lost because of whichever join being slightly off and I just wanted to get through more poses.
probably redid every single one like 2.5 times and some of them I'm not too pleased with, so will be getting another 2 zerkboxes.

title is for the drone about the berzerkers kit tasting too raw of bacawnbattawn with cunned up fawskin
lazy much?
I almost don't want GW to release a bzkrs revamp to spite you lazies.
time enough to dredge them out of the 2d metals and keep them with pumpkin heads.
4 variations on 4 pieces (legs arms heads shoulders) (who counts packs as different anyway) gives you 256 variations without accounting for posing variations.
great kit.
hopefully new berzerkers are V much like the firewarriors revamp if ever done with basically a cleanup and nothing else.
if they do some weird shoulder gak to make joins invisible (I know, prob fine cos marine torso with pads)...
not a huge fan of the baroquegasm they've had the past lil while either.
the scale doesn't suit baroque detailing, or so I thought, til kharne landed on the table and now the elves hands can have some respite from the plastic cane.
still, new ksons could have done with fade to a slightly darker turquoise and drenched the metal in agrax.

also, people saying Kharne is weird shoulderbarging, lol
do you imagine...?
but to save those nads, have you ever seen someone walk or drawn a convincing picture?
they prob do 8 second multi fatalities videos with 2 second runups and pick a pose a second into it.
kharne looks like hes about to, quite gracefully by being efficient, buttram a falling drop pod back into orbit with anything with a maimed groin held together by its collar bone.

back to it, probably succeeded with only a quarter or a third of the poses.
fortunately have old kharne on the way as well to see if he blends nicer.
New Kharne looks too 2016, though this could be because I gave him an orange layer under the final damper with normal zerks only on evil sunz.
duck you red...
got hounds, cultists and bikes in the wardrobe unopened and will pick up 3 rhinos for 1750, maybe 3 termicide for 1850, but for sure end of year.
engineering.

I hate bad photos, but I hate bad paintjobs worse.
so for that I guess I score 1/4...

don't thin your paints.
if you need to hear that and once it starts sounding good,
buy as many knights as you have marines
and as many pots of your colour as you have now both knights and paint pots.
ah, and glue everything to an MC base before you prime and make sure to scrape youre blade along some pavement before cutting them back off for reprime so you don't cut your thumbs.
the MC base makes it easier for paint to disperse and get into your eyes when youre holding the pieces close up for that consistency in obscuring detail.
dont worry if you haven't primed yet either.
the whole point is to get them on the table so you kind of want your stealth suits to look like kroot,
then you can hours up your brush control,
blast through your first 30 pounds of citadel layer brushes,
making sure you get all your ink pooling from finger to finger,
and working for that all important resemblance of spawn before you've even begun with your primary colour.

this got too long and the blue hair brigade are going to crash down on me with their tears for discouraging friendship development in middle aged people
sure there plenty of folks with no idea what dakka is that churn out 60 GD marines a day, but just because id like a nice feed of decent paintjobs and wips once a week without having to go to CMON with that yucky blue background.

I found what you wrote very difficult to understand, but from I can see you have put a lot of effort into posing and they have come out very nicely for that.

This kit is one people say doesn't go together easily (they say the models look like they are falling over), but you have created very convincing kinaesthetic despite that. Well done.
