Basically as the title suggests, do the forces of Chaos physically steal planets?

Like if a Cult gains enough power and overthrows the ruling government, is the planet then pulled into the Warp? Like physically removed from realspace and deposited somewhere either in the Eye of Terror or just the Warp? I see articles about Daemon worlds being brought into the Warp, but are those worlds that have been conquered by Daemons, or just random worlds?

Basically, Is it possible for Chaos to physically remove planets from Realspace?

Absolutely, but the physical removal of the planet is a rarer occasion. More commonly, a cult will gain enough power and influence to bring about a warp storm that engulfs the planet (and possibly the surrounding sector) and isolates it from any warp travel. At which point daemonic influence has nearly free reign over the planet. However, that can take many forms, from possession of its leaders to broad-scale mutation, to full-fledged daemons walking about.

Awesome!

Have some backstory ideas that involve an entire planet being nicked by Chaos, glad to know it's actually a thing.

How does a cult bring about a warpstorm?

The blackest of sorceries.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

And in some cases you get no daemons and when the storm clears you find the locals have traded in sticks and rocks for pulse weapons.

They just get a bit over-emotional really.
