Subject: 200pt KILL TEAM Video Battle Report - Guard Vs. Dark Angels
Happy Black Friday everyone! And what better way to celebrate than to stay at home, far away from stores where you can get trampled, and watch a brand-new Glacial Geek KILL TEAM Battle Report?!!! Nothing blacker than the Grim Dark ;-) ... https://youtu.be/A3rY-ZW90uQ This week my Dark Angels take on a rag-tag group of Traitor Guard! When an Imperial planet finds itself in revolt, Terra responds. And usually Terra responds with little concern for the reasons or the goals of the revolt. Terra simply looks to bring the planet back into the fold. So when one planet found itself in revolt, the Dark Angels responded to dole out the righteous vengeance of the Emperor! Will the Sons of the Lion be able to quash this uprising, or will the will of the people be too strong to break? Watch and find out!

Another fun one that could have gone either way. I agree with you that Guard's strength in Kill Team is numbers. Most Ork Kill Teams will probably use the same idea. Of course when you look at it, those armies use the same thing in regular 40k too, except in highly competitive play (where players just cheese out their lists and throw the fluff out the window).
My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Yeah, definitely! The thing is that raw numbers seems so much more effective in Kill Team. When you out number your opponent 4-1 and one of the objectives is to kill half the enemy, it becomes quite the game changer. 3 bad saves on my Black Knight list and I've broken ... I played a list with 26 guardsmen and I needed to kill 14 to break him :-P

The rule says you have to take break tests when you lose MORE than half your models. Since 13 is exactly half and not more than half you have to kill one more ... It pays to bring an even numbered army in Kill Team ;-)

I just played a game today, and had several bad rolls, and I swear I saw your face next to my dice before I picked them up after the bad rolls. And I refer to my guys as dudebros all the time since seeing these reports. Believe me, it's catching!
