Hello everyone I am think of getting BoP as a starter set for 30k cause I love the pre heresy thousand sons. The problem is that I only have the rule books etc for 40k. To continue in 30k what books are mandatory to build an army and play 30k?

You'll need the red book to start. Legiones Astartes: Age of Darkness Army List.
As for the specific TS rules, those have not been released yet. Supposed to be the next book being released.

PROS:
You can get the cheaper Age of Darkness army list red book. Red books are cheaper because they are rules only, no lore and pictures. This books covers your basic Legion units that all legions have access to.
CONS:
You will also need the more expensive black book when it gets released to play Thousand sons as a legion.

I'd say go for the Red books, but definitely try to save your cash for when the Thousand Sons rules are released. Do you have a friend that plays 30k that you could borrow from for now and then buy later?

No I don't have anyone playing 30k and there are a few people I know who gave it a try cause it's much more expensive that 40k. But is the red book a must as you say or should I wait for the TS specific book will that cover me? I am asking cause I can w8 and play a few missions from the box set until the book I want is released.

The Age of Darkness Army lists contains all the units available to all the legions, so is probably worth buying. The Age of Darkness Legions book you can pass on if you just want Thousand Sons, as it only contains the legions released so far. You'll need to wait for the black book with the 1ksons rules, or until they come out in a smaller red book for their legion specific stuff.
If you just want to mess around with army lists before taking the plunge I'd recommend downloading battlescribe and using the list maker to see what you can make using the box. You won't have all descriptions of the special rules, but it'll give you a start.

You'll need THIS REDBOOK FROM FORGE WORLD.
The rules for the Thousand Sons are being released in Horus Heresy Book VII: Inferno, and goes up for pre-release in January, with the actual release in February 2017. I'd expect it to cost at least £74.
Welcome to 30k!
