While technically no worse than any other day, Mondays are the worst. So we are forced to look for silver linings to help us get through ... Like a Brand-New Glacial Geek Battle Report! https://youtu.be/DzTrJHgyhug This week my Dark Angels take on the Sisters of Battle (you heard/read that right, SISTERS!)! An Imperial planet in peril, its Hive Cities in turmoil as a heretical uprising consumes the populous. A call goes out for help and the Ordo Hereticus responds with its militant arm, the Adeptus Sororitas. The Sisters of Battle descend upon the chaos and quickly squash the uprising and return order, taking the cult's leader, a space marine in ancient dark armor, captive. As they prepare to leave they receive a call from the Dark Angels requesting they turn over their captive. Refusing the request, the Sisters soon find themselves in a new battle, this time against a foe that ought to be their ally. Will the Sisters of Battle be able to fight off the Sons of the Lion and keep their captive, or will the might of the First Legion be too much to bear? Watch and find out!

I looked at this deployment and actually thought to myself that the seizing of initiative by the Dark Angels would benefit the Sisters of Battle. After all they are most dangerous at 8"-12" and so it is always a good idea against them to attack at the maximum possible range.

The result was surprising because I really thought that the Dark Angels kind of walked into the enemy strength. Its not surprising how bloody this was though. I think the Dark Angels might have been better off fighting on one flank, as they deployed after the Sisters and knew where they were.

I play Sisters of Battle a lot and I tend to play them uber aggressively forward because of their range issues. it also goes a long way in protecting the ever unreliable Exorcists.

Anywho, fun to watch. Got a LITTLE dizzy when you kept moving the camera to and from the dice so maybe a dice rolling zone might be good, or a tripod. I enjoyed it though.

Go Adepta Sororitas!

That was a fun one! It's cool seeing someone play Sisters because that is one of three armies that I have never faced in 40k (the other two being Deathwatch and Harlequins). One thing I kept thinking near the end of the game was "Charge that Rhino, dammit!" You might have denied your opponent Linebreaker that way.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

@Jancoran That is true, but I wanted to try and get into their face quick so I could drop my Terminators right among them to try and beat them up ... It obviously didn't work exactly as I thought ;-)

@ZergSmasher It was awesome getting them on the channel! I've played them in tournaments around here, but I wanted to get them on the channel real bad! That rhino was the bane of my existence! I thought about charging, but at the end he still had 2 hull points which would have been hard to plink off in combat ... It was killer!
