I started to put this together... Though I'm not sure I am working toward an even remotely competitive (I'd settle for semi-competitive, as I enjoy having fun more than anything) list here. I want to get to 1,850pts, but don't know what else to add beyond this point. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Don't be shy to shred this thing to pieces... I'm new, but I do want to move in the right direction before I sink time and money into a list that may stifle any forward momentum.

Baal Strike Force ((1,620pts/1,850pts))

Librarian (1) - 130pts Psyker Master Level 2 (Sanguinary, Biomancy, Demonology, Divination, Pyromancy)

Adding a second Librarian with the same load out still leaves me with... 100pts to spare. I was considering maybe taking a second Furioso Dreadnought with a dedicated drop pod. Doing that instead leaves me with only 60pts to spare.

This is why I changed my Baal strike force list to an Angel's blade list with Mephy + two other libbies.

I will have to look into that... Hadn't even considered Angel's Blade (still new, and a lot of what I have found talks about Baal Strike Force). From what I remember, it definitely looked like a lot of fun and still offered the same bonuses as Baal?

Exactly, and at half unit strength, you get zealot. The only real downside is you have to take three tac squads and a regular dreadnought. I've had plenty of games though where triple heavy flamers is $$. Sometimes I go double heavy flamer and drop in one tac squad with melta. The heavy flamer is quite devastating against units that have been tank shocked or had to emergency disembark.

When I get some free time, I'll definitely play around with Angel's Blade and be sure to include these suggestions. Definitely appreciate the discussion - gives me a bit more to think about... And maybe refines the direction I'm looking to head in.

The real power is that once you fulfill the base formation, you can tack on a ton of ICs. And the demi-company has mostly useful units. Still working on the archangel demi company.
