I saw this commissar miniature online and it's pretty cool, but i've never seen it before. Does anyone know if this is a legitimate GW miniature? I'd like to get one if it's real but I don't see it on the GW website.

Nope. Its not Gaunt. Gaunt is still available in the online store and in metal to boot.

Its one of the old metal commissars. Posibbly a recast, could be finecast though. I used to have one in metal.

It's an official GW Commissar, as far as I'm aware they never did him in finecast, only metal.

They only killed off that model recently, so you only missed him by a year or two.

The old commissar models were way better than the current plastic one IMO, as soon as I saw previews of the plastic one I bought all the metal versions because I was worried they'd get phased out.
