I've been collecting models from the Catlh and Prospero boxes and looting by bitz box to put these together. I have assembled a full 2600 point force, and now, in late november 2016, there is only one thing left, paint and base 65 miniatures, easy, no?

Here is the full force:



They are the "Sunless", they are outlander blackshields, who were originally a Death Guard expeditionary force who were exploring alien hulks in the depth of the Halo Stars when the heresy broke out. They stayed loyal to the Emperor and escaped the purge of Istvaan. They decided to strip their armors of Mortarion's colors and go back to the bare metal of the Dusk Raiders.

They are a force geared toward fast close action and deep striking. They teleport in, kick asses, gather any equipement and artefacts they might need, and teleport out...

Since they were specialised in space hulk exploration and relic hunting they kept doing that, and they came across one of Malcador's knight errant. He joined them to keep looking for relics in the halo stars on behalf of the Regent.

So a few presentations:
My HQ:



This is Dark Herald Ignatius Castro, reaver lord Pugilus Fistcaster and knight errant Kerris Plato.

My troop choices:



Blackshield Marauders, including a Xenos Deathlock. All those who can carry two bolt pistols do so, because a whole squad of gunsligners can only be good....



Assault Squad, sarge has lightning claws, two dudes have power swords.



Breachers, with shields made of sanguinary guard wings. Two have meltaguns, the rest, pariah bolters.



Tactical support squad, 10 pariah flamers, I should be able to burn a few things with all that prometheum, don't you think?

My Elite slot choices:



Lightning Claws terminators.



Cataphractii, all wielding chainfists.



Brother Lazarus, entombed in a Contemptor, and provided with a lot of firepower in the form of a multo-melta and an assault cannon.

And finally my heavy support slots:



Missile Launchers



And finally Volkites.

All the squads and characters that can be given some have Nuncio Voxes, to facilitate deep striking, and most weapons, apart from the missile launchers, are geared towards relatively close range firepower.

So now, all that is left is the painting, and I've experimented with my planned paint scheme on my first of the 65 guys: a flamer tactical support legionary;



Any thoughts are welcome. I'll keep updating this thread when I paint new models along the way, and if I add more models to the army, although I'm fairly certain that I want to paint first... I'm thinking of adding dreadclaws for the marauders, breachers, and flamers, but I'll be a deep striking foot slogger for now...
