Hey Dakka, I am still planning my demons, and this is my second try and writing a list and putting it up here, I revised my basic list a little bit, but mainly it is the same core idea, fast moving slanneshy demons with lots of rending and a bit of hard hitting core components.

I am very new to demons, so forgive me if it is horrible.

Demonic incursion detachment-

[b]Core-
Flayer troupe-

Herald of Slannesh
-steed of slannesh
-one greater and one lesser reward.
-ML2
-Locus of Beguilment

4x 10 daemonettes with icons.

2x 3 fiends of Slannesh

Auxiliary- Grand Cavalcade

Herald of Slannesh-
-ML2
-one greater and one lesser reward.
-steed of slannesh.
-Locus of Beguilment
2x Exalted Seeker chariots of Slannesh
-Lesser reward

3x 10 seekers of Slannesh

9 seekers of Slannesh.

Command -

Keeper of secrets
-ML3
-Soulstealer
-Exalted reward (contemplating switching this out to one greater and one lesser, thoughts?)

Thanks guys!
~Mikey

Looks good what are you using for Fiends?

Have you considered just taking the Grand Cavalcade putting the rest in a normal CAD so you can take a Chaos Knight of Slaanesh?

A decent list, given that you can get your demon girls into CC without getting blown off the table, tarpitted or overwatched.

Suggestion 1: give the Cavalcade Herald the Jewel. With its speed, stats, buffs and debuffs the opponent will be very nervous for his ICs.

Suggestion 2: Both your formations do the same thing - zergrush with rending. You may want to diversify by taking the 3 Soulgrinder formation, Eye and MoT (to reroll 1 on their save) as anti-vehicle.

My fiends are gonna be sisters of slaughter bodies, heads, and arms on put onto these: http://otherworldminiatures.co.uk/shop/wilderness-encounters/we10f-huge-spider-iv/ They should look good with a bit of greenstuff and some cool basing.

OT: If I put the stuff into a CAD I would pick a few different things, less daemonettes and some Tzeentch stuff because Slannesh and Tzeentch is a cool combo visually and gameplay wise I think.

The chaos knight is pretty cool, and I have a cool scheme in mind, but does the kit come with both autocannons? If it doesn't I need to find another way to source a second one.

Three souldgrinders is also a cool idea, I would be able to keep the Daemonic Incursion formation benefits if I went this route, but would have to buy and paint three soul grinders... (Any ideas for conversions to make them look different from each other?). Isn't the laser eyes only 24" range, and one shot at BS3? It seems pretty hit or miss, but hey, I guess that is why you take three!

Thanks for the input!

Slannesh have a lot of anti-personel power in their rending CC units. What is needed is anti-tank, which Soul Grinders with Eye delivers.

If one of the Soulgrinders in the formation makes a hit the remaining gets to reroll their hits. With one template and cannons it would be fairly easy to get that hit, making the Eye hit 75% of the time. Use the Grinders as assult guns, walking forward, firing and trusting in your 5++ reroll 1. 24 " is enough in most cases. For that to work requires that your slannesh troops rushes forward and distracts the opponent from targeting the Grinders.

It's only casualties in the shooting or assault phase, which is probably just as good honestly. It's a good call man, thanks.

They also cover my anti-air. However, the formation costs roughly 500 points (165 for each grinder x3), I could drop the cavalcade and clear that up, maybe I could throw Be'lakor in there because I will have like 300 extra points. Maybe another KoS, or Fateweaver?

Thanks for the advice!

I think the list looks fun. Id go out and out rending as you are doing and hope you can tarpit/deal with knights. I would adjust your KoS and make that a Demon Prince of Slaanesh with wings, lvl3, 2 greater 1 lesser. Keeps to your fluff but less killable and way more powerful. With Iron Arm and the Lash of Despair you have some kind of answer to Knights and other armour too. Worth considering.
