Hello Dakkanaughts, I'm currently going to work creating a mighty custom chapter master. Only problem is, I don't know where to start or where to search. Anyone have any ideas or any sites I can visit? You can also display pictures of your own chapter masters as well.

This is a very subjective question. A CM is basically the coolest, most bligned out guy in the chapter. So you need to find the guy who rings your bell. Either using/modding a special character, guys from FW, or just skimming the cream off of your bits box to make the most awesome guy you can.

Then there is the issue of what gear you want to give him.

My first suggestion would be the stermguard a/o vanguard vet kits, plus the old multipart captain. If you chapter has an upgrade sprue, that’s another sure place to find parts. The new DW kit also has some fancy bits in it.

Pretty much this, a chapter master is basically the best show off model of all the cool bits and modelling skill you have.

For ex. for my delegatus (I play 30k) has gone through several variations as I find newer and cooler bits. I started with a simple reposed marine with a FW torso piece. Then I got a tabard piece, some extra armor plates, cool arms to make the pose look good and it just sort of went from there. I'm still looking for the perfect shoulderpads though.
