Subject: What stores does the 40k crowd around Columbia, Md. hang out?

Looking for places people play 40k at.
Tried to do some online searches for places close by, but the top 3 I keep seeing recommended are:
1. Bowie Battle Bunker - now permanently closed
2. Glen Burnie Dropzone Games - now permanently closed
3. Glen Burnie Games and Stuff - I drove down on their supposed "40k time slot" on a saturday, stayed over an hour, but the only people that showed up were to play Magic the Gathering.
I figure everyone that used to go the above 3 places migrated to other stores, maybe? Or there are other places I don't know about?
Anyone know where?

Dreamwizards in rockville MD used to have a pretty big crowd. They had a website called Beltway Gamers or something. Around 30 min drive.
I know a lot of buddies in Columbia MD that have armies, but we all quit 40k.

So, there are the following:
1) GW Bowie - Fairfield Green
2) GW Columbia Palace
3) Dreamwizards, in Rockville
There are a few FLGS around as well. I don't personally like playing at Dreamwizards, there's something off about the place.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
Titan Games is a little far but I will find some time to check out it out.
This also isn't the first time I've heard from someone that Dreamwizards is a little shady, that's too bad.
As for the local Games Workshops, I was hoping to find alternatives to those...
One of the reasons being that the one I've seen in Bowie has a pretty unwelcoming atmosphere. I don't mean the staff, the manager was actually very nice, he seemed helpful and pleasant- it was mostly the size and layout of the place.
They had two tables, but one side of them are only a couple feet from the register, and on the other side they are maybe 12 inches from the display shelves. I was trying to look at the boxes on the shelves and had to wait until the people playing moved out of the way, and then squeeze by. There were also no chairs or benches or even coat racks or anything like that, so the couple of people that were playing, all their model transport cases, drinks, and jackets etc were on the second table (it's right next to the first one) and it was so crowded between the shelves/register/people trying to see and play, that i don't really think both tables are able to be used comfortably at once. It's a very small store, there's no bathroom or anywhere to really sit or stand, either. If you're not at the table, there's no space to talk to anyone.
Some friends I spoke to about it are saying most GW stores around the area are moving more towards these types of layout, where you're not encouraged to linger, the company basically wants you to buy your stuff and get out, lol.
Haven't had a chance to check out the Columbia one, as I have to wait for weekends due to schedules, but if it's similar to the Bowie layout I won't be surprised... I don't see how these types of layouts are good for the hobby, but I haven't given up finding somewhere to play.

Games and Stuff is one of the best FLGS I've ever been to. GW games have seem to have fallen off a bit there though. I know a lot of Columbia-area Gamers who game there or at people's houses. The GW store, as you note, really isn't a place to play.

I'm also near Columbia and getting back into GW with 30k, but I think it's compatible enough to play with 40k on occasion . I used to go to Dream Wizards frequently but it is unfortunately quite the hole in the wall!
There's another game-selling store (mostly board games) called "The Family Game Store" with tables in a loft above the store. I'm guessing you could schedule a game there. I will be on the lookout myself in as few months when my army is ready so post up with where you end up gaming!

Gee, the battle bunker that they cut down to a one man store, having to get rid of most of the tables in the process, leaving them paying rent for a huge amount of empty space? I'm _shocked._
It sucks that Dropzone folded - it was an amazing store. I wonder what went awry?
Games and Stuff isn't bad if you can find free table time and arrange to meet people there ahead of time, instead of waiting for walk ins.

The Bowie Battle Bunker moved. It's now Warhammer - Fairwood Green.
There is also Cardboard Gaming in Odenton. I know they have tables and sell 40k but I don't recall if the tables are large enough to accommodate 40k. I've only been in it once.
Third Eye Games is in Annapolis and I think they do 40k events. I know they sell GW products. They also sell retro video games.
