It is the end of the Third Age of Middle Earth, and the great fortress of Minas Tirith is all that stands defend the free peoples from Sauron. The Battle of the Pelennor Fields was the ultimate battle for control of the Planet.
Using a modified version of L'Art de la Guerre, the forces involved represent about 700 points to a side.
This game was run from at the HMGS's event Fall In.

Looks like a fun game and nice job writign up the story.
I love seing creative use of figures and would have liked to see what minis you were using but unfortunatley the minis in EVERY picture were blurry and indistinct. I highly recommend purchasing a monopod or checking your camera settings as something is not right. I don't know what to offer as far as advice beyond that but in some pics it looks like the camera may be auto-focusing on the ground.
What are your thoughts on L'Art de la Guerre? I'm not familiar with it but am always interested in hearing about alternate rulesets.

I was very disappointed with the pictures as well and can't explain the blurryness, as the 15mm pics I take with the same camera came out well. It might have something to do with the light in the room. I have a tripod, but my first priority is to keep the game running. Using a tripod is very disruptive. Though using it for the initial setup would have been good.
I like L'Art de la Guerre. It plays fast, 2.5 hours for a normal 200 point game. It is growing in popularity in the US. It is on it's 3rd edition and just had a new print run in English.

My buddy has been using a short monopod alot for pics. It steadies the cam just enough to make shots good. but you don't have to fool around much with adjustments.
I'll look into L'Art. Sounds pretty fast moving. How complex would you say it is on a scale from 1-10? 1 being Song of Blades and Heroes and 10 being Battletech with all the advanced rules. I've been using Kings of War for big battles and really like it but some of my gaming buddies find it a bit too simplistic because it lacks a command mechanic.

It is about the same difficulty as Fields of Glory. Easier by a bit than Warrior, but more complex than DBA or Tactica. The book may look daunting, but more than half of it is lists. So there are no extra purchases required.
