Just brainstorming the idea of a "better Tetrad" using the WoM stuff

Rehati War Sect:
Magnus
3 Tz DPs - Wings, Armour, ML3 & spell familiars

Daemon CAD:
ML3 Tz Herald on Disc w/ Paradox - 145
2x 12 Blue Horrors

1845 pts

The Herald & 1 DP roll first attempting to get Incursion, Sacrifice and/or Cursed Earth. The other 2 DPs can all go Biomancy/Telepathy.

Thought about swapping Armour for Dark Aura? As the DP have VotLW, if they get a blessing they become 4++ rerolling 1s which I think would be better in the long run.

They already have a 5++ from being Daemons. Also, technically, if affected by cursed they get a double invulnerable save boost to a 3++ re rolling on 1s.

Looks good Galef, definitely what I would use if running Magnus at 1850pts. Let us know how it goes.

I don't see much benefit to the Rehati War Sect in this list. DP moving to 3+ with WC dice doesn't mean much when Magnum is gonna be casting most your spells anyways.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Your DPs still need to cast iron arm, cursed earth, etc. There are some powers that Magnus can't cast and there are others that are used to make the DPs tanks.

The idea it to have FMCs, which are always good, and only Horrors on the ground. Yes Magnus may hog most of the WC, but by giving the DPs casting on 3+ and spell familiars, they will be able to do so much more with whatever is left over.

@mrhappyface: I don't have Magnus or enough Horrors for this list, so it's unlikely I will play this anytime soon. Especially since the Oracles formation looks a bit better. But yeah this is how I would run Magnus as a Daemon player.

The only sad part about this list is that the DPs have to roll 1 Change power and cannot take Rewards like their Daemon Faction brothers.
I find it odd that Magnus himself is on the Daemons page on GW, yet is CSM faction only. If he was also Faction: Daemons, I'd take Magnus in the CAD and an Oracles formation with FW and 2 LoCs

Can you take Magnus as a LoW in a daemon CAD?

Don't forget Siphon Magic on Magnus, 3 DP's casting on 3+ with a familiars is bound to pump up his warp charges.

Would be nice, but I don't think so. I don't yet have the book and no one has DEFINITIVELY confirmed or denied it via a screenshot of his rules (as so far the leaks have that part cut off)
If he only has the CSM logo on his sheet, than he is CSM only. If he has both CSM and Daemon logo, or a note that states he can be used in both, than he is both.

In the case he can be.

1850

Daemonic Incursion

Warpflame host
lvl3 Herald - paradox - conj locus
11x pinks
10x pinks
10x pinks
10x pinks
5x Exaulted Flamers

CAD
FW
3xNurglings
3xNurglings
Magnus

That would be what I would be preparing for (to be destroyed by) I don't play daemons.

I have the rules, he can't be taken by daemons. He's a CSM dataslate.

What would you give the princes with your spare points?

Any good Tz/CSM artefacts? (my book is stuck in snail-mail land )

I recognize that the Daemon CAD, the blues are a tax..., so going with brimmies seems to be the best way to satisfying that tax at the cheapest.

They are a troops tax, but as blue horrors they're relatively cheap and they fart out brimstones when they die.
