There isn't one. That isn't a rule.

There is, however, a rule stating that if a player has no models on the table at the END of any GAME turn, they lose. That can be found in the Sudden Death Victory subsection of the Victory Conditions section.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.

True. Hope they don't all Mishap, though.

Yes, Drop Pods can still Mishap. It isn't always easy, but it IS possible.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

I still maintain that this was the best tactic ever thought up on the spot during a game of 40k.

sure, you can choose to not deploy any unit, as long as you have units on the board at the end of a game turn.

So its impossible to take two skyhammers and a strike command w/ packs, declare them turn 2 drops, obviously the theme of the army is to all arrive at once. But reserves are available till turn 2.

Seriosuly, its a themed army and even with sportsman like playing do you think players will be that cheeky and just delcare I win without ever placing a model?

I have a way around the cultists or infiltrators. See Firehawks Firefall warlord trait for Elam Courbay. 5" pie of fire that drops before him, clearing space. He then can use that as a sort of homing beacon to deploy neatly.

You would have to have some models on the table at the end of your first turn or you will lose the game, so your idea of two Skyhammer Annihilation Force will need some tweaking to work.

I'd also like to say that I wouldn't consider your opponent cheeky for following the rules and declaring a win straight away, personally I just wouldn't bother playing at all until you'd reorganised your list so it didn't automatically lose - but I would insist we follow the rules. You're already using a fantastically powerful formation with a powerful faction, count your blessings and be happy you can do such a fine thing.

At my FLGS you would be "that guy" if you show up with a skyhammer force to a friendly match.

If you would be using * two *, you would even be "that guy" for the one player with his 3 riptides (every FLGS on the world has someone like this ).

Its a comp. scene not friendly at all. The skyhammer, even a double skyhammer, wouldnt touch some of the lists at my LGS. Riptide wing and 2x stormsurges will intercept anything
