Are there any specific books I can look up? Anything really.

There's a few books about them before and during the fall to chaos from the Horus Heresy series.
They are mentioned in Horus Rising, False Gods and Galaxy in flames as well as Flight of the Eisenstien and Angel Exterminatus.
The book Fulgrim is basically about their fall to Slaanesh, and they have some short stories in the Horus Heresy series as well.
I'm not too sure how many books are written about them in the modern 40K perspective, but I'm sure you could find some fluff from the codexes.
Basically they are extremely debased, hedonistic, arrogant and perverted. They are sexual predator serial-killers in power armour.

Square Bases for Life!
AoS is pure garbage
Kill Primaris, Kill the Primarchs. They don't belong in 40K
40K is fantasy in space, not sci-fi |

Your number one source should be Horus Heresy: Betrayal. Its section on the Emperor's Children pre-Heresy blows away the opening trilogy.

Okay. I'm not sure why I like them. I've never cracked a warhammer book before, so my desire to read about them must be from slaanesh. Lol, cheesy I know. My best attempt at a joke.

Thanks for your input. I'll have to start looking around for some books.

Betrayal and Fulgrim are the way to go. Most of the stuff on their 40k incarnation are snippets of fluff in the various Chaos codexes and such.
I can also recommend perhaps some fan writing. Some of it is utter rubbish, but occasionally you find someone who's properly lore-savvy that writes something amazing. Or maybe I just like fanfiction. Who knows?

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)
2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)
Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan! |

I know why you like them, because they are awesome.
Nothing says badass like using sonic weaponry to explode your opponents face, or surgically cutting out your own throat to replace it with a sonic amplifier to scream your enemies to death.

I am not against fan fiction at all. I've never read a warhammer 40k book before though. So maybe I need to start at the beginning? I don't know. Some of my favorite short stories are from 'humanity **** yeah'

I definitely love the models. I just bought some oop metal models, the sonic dreadnaught and I plan on picking up each set of the gw conversion sets.
Real space marines wear pink.... Lol
I also got my fiancée to paint some Daemonettes of slaanesh with me. That may be a contributing factor too.
