Hi guys,

Just after some help in which colours to use in order to get a similar effect to the below image:

It looks like a black base coat blended up to a purple/pink, but I'm not sure which colours would work for this. Ideally I'd like to use Vallejo paint (air or normal game colour) as I prefer them to GW stuff. I don't have much experience with pinks/purples though, so didn't want to order anything too bright!

This image just popped up during a Google search and I think the scheme is awesome!

Cheers

EDIT: Should say that the above came from SincaiN40K http://sincain40k.blogspot.co.uk/

You can use what ever paints you want, the effect being created there is not determined by the paint it's the technique.

This also looks airbrushed.

To many unpainted models to count.

I meant the actual colours rather than shading effect itself. Sorry, I should have been more specific!

It just strikes me as a really interesting colour choice.

i use P3 paints, and that color looks a lot like Murderous Magenta would over Beaten Purple...
highlights would be Menoth White Highlight, and the shade would be Coal Black...
i'm not sure what the Vallejo equivalent would be, but that is the palette i'd use to recreate the main color on that paint job...

cheers
