Pulsating Possessed Chaos Marine

I hadn't seen anyone else start this yet, so i figured i would go ahead and see how things work out. Seeing that the new Rubrics are based off of the Mk4 Armour, i figured, it might be worthwhile to mix between the two kits and see what the results are. So far, i've only gotten the legs attached to their bases, but i did take a mock up with two torso's attached to opposing sets of legs. One thing became clear almost instantly. The Rubric legs are taller then their counterparts, Its most likely due to the positioning of the legs, and their pose. But what i wonder now, is if anyone thinks, once they are fully assembled and painted, the difference will be noticeable?

Definitely noticeable, but I'd imagine it's acceptable to think that Space Marines come in various sizes and that would particularly be the case with Chaos space marines. I do think it's quite a noticeable difference.
The more curious question - is it only a result of the swapping of bits, or are the standard Rubrics a bit bigger? You could actually finally be seeing a slow incremental move by GW to increase the size of the average Space Marine to better distance them from normal Imperial Guard figures etc.

From what i've seen of looking though the bits, the only noticeable difference piece to piece, are the legs. Torso's are all the same size, as are the arms. Can't really compare the mk4 heads, to the Rubrics. And then the backpacks are the same sort of difference between the usual chaos and imperial packs.
I can't really say if the plastics are actually moving to be larger, compared to the other ranges, To me, it seems more in lines with the difference between standing upright, and crouching.

And the ball joint at the top of the waist is similar on each? (i.e. you can't sand/cut it down in a decent fashion to "drop" the torso slightly?).
Curious. Either way, I think you're doing a good job.

Yeah I'd say it's not like it's a huge problem, but if you can grind down the hip joint to make them the same height I think it'd be more uniform.
The look sick though.

The rubric legs are standing slightly taller (they aren't as "battle crouched"). The angle between them is sharper.
Marines would be taller than guardsmen if they actually did them with standing at attention legs (not the half-crouch they come in). They should be taller, too.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

If you think about it, the legs are probably shorter in normal power armor as a result of the warrior inside. There is no warrior inside rubric armor, it's just dust.

Weren't the deathwatch veterans a bit taller too when compared to other space marines, I know a lot of the legs are posed more standing upright but the greaves (shins?) seem to be a bit longer.
But as everyone else has said I don't think it will cause much problem some marines might be taller than others.
