I'm not sure this is in the right place but i was hoping to get some advice on making a deathwatch army. Currently i have the Death Masque box set, nothing has been built yet so i can still tailor it to a list. I am looking to make a 1500 and a 1000 point list but i have no idea what i should take and what to arm them with. Any help is appreciated thanks!

Well if you're getting into the Deathwatch here are some tips on loadouts etc.

-Optimized load out is usually 2 vets with frag cannons, 2 with bolters and shotguns and a third with bolter or shotgun or a heavy thunder hammer if you want some cc punch 160 or 190 points for the squad
-Drop Pods are probably the best way to deliver your vets, unless you're playing Tau, but if you are, well, I'm sorry
-New Deathwatch Battleforce is a great deal, pick it up, it'll be a great core for your army.
-To get the most mileage out of the models you have and the battle force I would probably run a Black Spear Strike Force, and a CAD
-Use the bikers to fill up the fast attack slots give them teleport homers
-Mount one unit of vets from the CAD in a razorback with a unit of veterans
-Give the other units 5 Stalker Patter Boltguns, let them sit back and camp an objective
-For the BSSF Take the Watch Master or Artemis, Venerable Dread for the Auxillary
-Make the rest Aquila Kill Teams with your choice of Vanguard Vets or Termies and give the vets the load out above, you should have well over 1500 points and an army with a solid punch, I hope this was helpful

Deathwatch are pretty cheap to collect, which is good.

However, the loadouts can get super wonky and difficult too optimise.

Right now, Frag cannons are easily the best weapon in the codex, and vets can get a shotgun and a bolter which is a good option for warm bodies.

Aquilla Kill teams are the best kill team option out there (In my personal opinion) as it is the most flexible, and customizable.

Additionally, Do not forget mission tactics!!! They give DW their bite, I find myself forgetting them all the time, so don't risk it.

Also, stalker and bolter kill teams are pretty good in an aquilla kill team with a librarian, and they are incredibly fun!

And,Vanguard vets are dirt cheap, and are required in a lot of the formations, give one a power weapon and have him make your veteran squad an aquilla kill team or something else of the sort.
