I have a teminator sorcerer in a normal cad that I want to deepstrike with a unit of terminators from a chaos warband.
Would this be legal? Or can they not deepstrike togheter since they are from different detachments?

They can, as long as there are no special arrival rules for the chaos warband. For example, if the warband had a reroll to arrive, the sorcerer can not join.

I think they could still deep strike together , but you wouldn't get the benefits.
Formations benefits are a case by case basis tho, some are worded differently to others .

There's the following from the Main Rulebook FAQ

Q: If I’m using a special Detachment, such as the Nemesis Strike Force Detachment, and add Independent Characters from Battle Brother Factions (e.g. the Librarius Conclave), can they all still benefit from the first turn deployment and come in together?

A: No, the rules for Detachments and Formations only apply to models/units that are part of the Detachment or Formation. If a Formation or Detachment must appear on a certain turn, that will preclude Independent Characters who do not have the appropriate special rule from joining that unit.

Whether or not the reroll would preclude the Independent Character from joining the unit in Deep Strike Reserve is not covered by this FAQ.

That's completely legal. There are no formation benefits to gain here.

Stick to the questions asked.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
