I'm assuming it's just because of Christmas shenanigans, but so much is temporarily out of stock on the GW website.

Take my money!

Or is it always like this?
Not a rant, just bored on my day off.

I noticed that too... I was contemplating buying the Grey Knights bundle and it's now sold out.

I'll swing by GW store on Sunday and see what their stock is like.

Well I've been looking at the CSM models, and the new supplement is probably also contributing to my particular shortage.

I just want some Noise marines!

No it is not always like this - but I suspect with the new direction GW has taken lately and the release of all of this long awaited Chaos stuff - things are getting crazy.

When sales are bad you don't do large production runs because storage space is expensive.

It shows a lack of confidence that stuff will actually sell.

Once again lack of communication leads to poor management issues.

It's them trying to be better at business. In the business world, you learn that storing stock is expensive and a waste. You do sales projections, get what you know will sell, and sell it fast. If you click the notify me when back in stock link, they usually restock it within 3 days. They have been food at restocking popular items like the genestealer cult stuff quickly too.

Tons of old stock that didn't sell is what sunk warhammer fantasy. They lost lots of money back then. GW now has a new ceo, and they are making what folks want, but in smaller runs to cut down on any unsold stock. If you see their financials, they are doing great now.

Except that the predominant model of sales, the toyotism, says that you should NOT have too much in storage and produce just in time.

Not only have I been waiting for CSM stuff to come back in, but I've been waiting to order a Manticore for like two months.

I heard that the SoB Immolator has been OOS for like three years because they dropped the mold.

But I haven't experienced these issues, its probably just the armies I play though.
