So, Traitor Legions is out. It's wonderful. It gives me back my Chaos Space Marines of the 3.5 days which is all well and grand.

And lo and behold, a 2k point local tournament is coming up so I've been playing around with some ideas....however find myself needing a bit of assistance in a final decision.

Now the problem is...which Meta-Detachment to go for? As I see it, I have two options.


Death Guard Vectorium - Traitor Legions
- Pros : Rerolling FNP rolls of 1, Stealth from 18+" away, Reroll on Death Guard Warlord Trait

Black Crusade Detachment - Traitor's Hate
- Pros: Hatred (Armies of the Imperium), Free Chaos Boon rolls (stacking with Chaos Warband - great for ramping up characters early on).

Now...here's where it gets tricky.

I'm leaning toward Black Crusade - largely because the free Chaos boon rolls (which will stack with Chaos Warband bonus as all characters are part of that formation) can help me buff or ramp up characters early on - offsetting the squishiness of the Sorcerer actually being my Warlord (if I get EW, bonus wounds, Bonus toughness etc) or making other characters into threats as well.

However, the downside is that a reroll on the Death Guard warlord traits would be incredibly tasty (as they're all rather good) and rerolls on FNP results of a 1 could help for a smallish army's resilience.

Help me Dakka-wan-Kenobi. Where do I go?

Definitely the Vectorium. The extra boon rolling is cool, but not reliable. Stealth and re-roll FNP of 1 hemp make your entire army stronger.
