I... actually don't know. Help?

So I'm the only SW player at my local club, and I'm getting rekt every single game and tournament I play there.

The hardest armies are one guys Orks, who plays 10+ Barrage grot cannons and Tankbustas in Trukks. He always busts my troops and transports.

One guy has Tau with lots of Drones and Suits. One guy loves to spam IG tanks.

The rules are that you can't have unbound or Superheavys. We usually play 1000/1500 points games.

Any ideas on what I can use for good TAC lists?

It would help us if you told us what your SW army and collection are

Mostly thunderwolves, 5 dreads, 2 squads of Long Fangs (Missiles and Heavy Bolters), 1 squad of grey hunters, a razorback and most HQ choices.

Thunderwolves are always a good start, I like to stick them with a wolf lord (or battle leader) on TW mount, Wolf claw and PF and armour of Russ. Giving him 2+/4++ and the choice of swinging at initiative or wrecking face with power fist.

For long fangs I like either one squad all missile and one squad all lascannon, or a combination since you can split fire.

Not a big fan of dreads but if you wanna keep me in the list drop pods are helpful. That is if you're going close combat oriented dreads or multi-meltacide. Either way make shure each one is kitted for a specific task rather then jack of all trades. This gives them focus and you're less likely to waste shots.

For grey hunters I like to stick two Meltas in a squad and throw em in a drop pod. Rhinos can be used to great effect as well.

Though not a big fan of the models wulfen are pretty beast. Especially the murder pack formation.

Gretchen artillery and tankbustas are a few of our best units. Artillery may be T7 vs shooting but they're just Gretchen in the assault. Something that can deep strike can put pressure on them and forces Orks to divert somethint from moving forward to protect them. Otherwise try to get them to fall off the board with morale. They're only ld5 without an attached character so shoot them only until you cause 25% casualties. Using flamers will roast most Orks in trukks and can hurt the trukk as well. Otherwise target them with ap1 to give them the best chance to explode and kill half the unit with a good chance to pin.
