So I'm repainting my necrons and I have a theme in mind, but I just don't know exactly what colors to use and was hoping that the P&M forum might be able to help me The theme is a small tombworld awakening from their ~60 Million year sleep, but the area the first Necrons awake in is a very snowy pine forest. I want to use a combination of earthy colors and dark metallics (Like Dryad Bark and Warplock Bronze from GW) I know I'm going to be using Nihilakh Oxide for the touches of rust and probably Valhallan Snow for the, well, snow. My problem is I don't know what earthy tones to throw together that work well with the Nihilakh Oxide, contrast with the snow well (Shouldn't be hard, just darker tones), but also convey a sense of blending in with a snowy pine forest. So for the models I need to worry about the Metallic parts, armor plates, gems/orbs, blades/eyes/gauss rods, and misc. For the base I'll use the snow and maybe some GW rocks, but is there a 3rd party that makes something like underbrush to use? EDIT: I would prefer to keep colors in the GW line but I'm open to other paints as well
