I have been playing Seraphon since they came out in AoS and have found the following list to be absolutely dynamite! I used to be Slann Behemoth heavy, but with the Summon nerf and after many plays with different battalion warscrolls (Eternal Starhost is amazing), I think this might be the best overall 2000 point Seraphon list.
Battalion Warhost:
2X Eternity Starhost
Leaders:
2x Eternal Warden
3x Skink Priest
General - 1x Saurus Sunblood / 1xSlann Starmaster (remove Ripperdactyls too)
Battleline:
10x Saurus Guard
10x Saurus Guard
5x Saurus Guard
10x Saurus Guard
10x Saurus Guard
5x Saurus Guard
Units:
3x Ripperdactyls (removed if you took Slann Starmaster)
Set up and play:
Set up two teams of battalions on either side of your board. Use the 5 man squads to take objectives, if needed. Then use 2 10 man squads with Eternity Wardens and Priests near them to take out the flanks (or wherever the enemy is located. Put the Sunblood and Ripperdactyls wherever they are strongest for more support or Slann in between the battalions if you took him.
The Synergy:
The Eternity Warden gives the Guards +1 Attack, +1 Save, and +2 Bravery (being a Hero near the Guard), the Starhost gives an additional +1 Save near the Warden as well and lets your Guard deal D3 damage instead of 1 if unmoved. The priests take the Priestly Trappings giving rerolls to Run, Charge, and Saves for all Seraphon within 8" until your next Hero Phase. The extra priest helps keep the buffs on, and the Sunblood is tough killer. Oh yeah, and the Ripperdactyls do their thing just for good measure. Or you could substitute the Sunblood and Ripperdactyls for a Slann Starmaster to combat Daemons better, give units within 10" flying and rerolling saves against shooting, provide magic/dispelling, and (oh yeah) let your entire army re-roll to-hit rolls of 1! Also, if you keep a Warden near the Slann he can takes wounds from him just in case.
In summation, your Guard just block up and kill everything on the battlefield since they now have 3A, 3+H, 3+W, -1 Rend, 1/D3 Damage, and a re-rolling 2+ save (ignoring -1 Rend).
What do you all think? If you were my opponent, what would you target first? How would you combat the onslaught?
