Having forked out for a battle of macragge box set,being jealous of them funky force field fences,hive node,the missions themselfs,and that unique pilot varras,and the crashed Aquila wreck,I bought a one new for quite a bit.

Along with a bunch of other stuff to bulk up,Some 1995 space hulk terminators too ,having literally just restarted painting after a long hiatus,I find myself stuck at the amount of different ways people have painted there's,basically i'am looking for inspiration in order to paint up mine without looking like there mediocre painted,would be grateful for any of your battle for macragge pics i could use for inspirational ideas,don't intend on copying anyone's just looking for some ideas on detailing,space marine stuff only,intend on painting the nids Leviathan hive themed,screw lore look better than kraken in my opinion.

Snow theme bases huh i like,the missions book is on a desert world,just don't seem right,polar fortress's,cold steel ridge so on,most likely be snow,industrial or blasted grays on macragge i suspect.

I did up my marines as part of the future 1st Cav Division, IN SPACE!. I got custom decals and went to town. I also augmented my 'Nids and Marines with the figures needed to play the extra scenarios they had for download at one point.

Nice Goo dripping from the talons on the gaunt with toxin sacs looks well space hulk them dark colors very cool,as is the battle damage on the marines.

Managed to get a whole bunch of them extra missions you speak of,even bought a old dreadnought,pretty much starting a ultramarine army small one that is,its in a Queue with 28 tyranids behind it plus terrain so no rush to form ideas on how i'm going to paint them.

Bought this heavy assault box was both for the dreadnought and space hulk era terminators,looking forward to some well detailed painting in the near future.

I have a dreadnought for these that came out really well, but I can't find my pictures of it, and it, along with most of my stuff, is still packed from my last move.

Well hope you find it could use some inspiration for my dreadnought too.

I dug him out, but did not dig out the extra arms or magnetized smaller weapons that fit onto the arms. His name is Eddie, after the Iron Maiden mascot.









My land speeder was in the same tray, as was my APC. Both allow weapons to be swapped out.

Awesome love the decals and warnings,nice detail on the sarcophagus cables must have took a steady hand that,Ooo i wants a landspeeder now,but that will have to wait till i paint the mass on my table,around 70 models of 3 different army's plus objective markers,a tank,x2 dreadnoughts and couple more of them new munitorum armored containers.

Finally cleaned up all the mouldlines on the battle of macragge models,had to use some greenstuff on the armpads since the old models have alot more than the new,going with a macragge blue,very light calgar highlight,lots of metal chipping&dusting,deathworld/moonscape grays admin&dawnstone around the wrecks kicked up dirt.
Will be using the new citadel paints with edge highlighting for the pilot and squad and washs for the detailing,likely simple colors boltgun,gold,yellow etc for the beacon,fusion core & power fields,as for the tyranids leviathan hive themed node+infesetions x18 stealers & x10 termagants,x8 spore mines,hopefully all be painted sometime in 2017 in the next few months,and will post them in there own gallery's when done,Some WIP Pics below.
