Subject: 1,000pt Video Battle Report - Cult Mechanicus Vs. Dark Angels
I've got a serious case of the Mondays going on right now ... But perhaps a brand-new Glacial Geek Battle Report can lift my spirits! https://youtu.be/M3KgPT-cEG4 This week my Dark Angels take on the Cult Mechanicus! When the Adeptus Mechanicus learns of the discovery of ancient technology being found on an Imperial planet they immediately dispatch a team to go collect the finds and any information found with it. One problem, that technology and information is from the Heresy era and was found on a planet that the Dark Angels had been during that time. The Inner Circle on the Rock felt that the chance of information about the Fallen being included in this find was too close to let it be. A rapid force of the Unforgiven was dispatched as well to intercept the Cult Mechanicus sent to get the information and for the Dark Angels to retrieve it themselves. Will the might of the First Legion's Second Company be enough to grab the artifacts, or will the Machines of Mars be too much to handle? Watch and find out!

Wow, that was a different sort of game. I'm still not sure but what you should burn those dice, though. They kept you from winning far more than any flaw in your strategy. Honestly, I'm not sure I could have kept playing, except that you were winning right until that last throw.
Still, it was interesting seeing Kastelan Robots in action. There are a couple of AdMech players in my local area, but they run War Convocations with no Kastelans (pretty much everything else except Electropriests, though). Those robots are tough, and their guns aren't too shabby either.
My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

I've said in youtube comments and from watching other battle reports, custom dice are a certain no no, they are with doubt weighted incorrectly. Just like there is no way some players get consistent 6's without the dice being fiddled, the same with your dice and the amount of 1's you roll, they really are not worth the 'phil face' aspect.

Those Kastelan robots are amazing! Super tough to take down and even when you're throwing high strength, low AP shots at them they always have the chance to throw it right back at you with a save of a 6! It's nuts! Super cool looking though so I can forgive it ;-)
As for my dice, they were a wedding gift from my friends so they're gonna be the ones I will use in battle reports and in friendly games ... They're way more important to me than winning :-)
