I was wondering if anyone has created or seen a sling or some other storage option for a boltgun for MKIII armour? I want my sergeants to have both pistol and boltgun, but I don't want all of them to be one handedly wielding a boltgun, and I can't find any "holstered" heavy chainswords so I can have them holding a boltgun as normal.

Any help is appreciated, I have 40 death guard to finish asap.

Ta very muchly,

The only holstered Boltgun I'm aware of is the one in the Attack Bike kit, and that's obviously not the pattern of Boltgun you're looking for.

The best thing I can suggest is to glue loose Boltguns to their waists before adding some straps made out of Green Stuff to them, or by covering the weapon up to the trigger in Green Stuff for a full holster.

A thin strip of plasticard works well for weapon slings. as for the heavy chain sword, you could take some green stuff and form it to the same length and thickness and stick a handle at the top.

There is a holstered boltgun in the Thunderwolf Cavalry kit as well, but it has the same issue of not being the right pattern of boltgun.

If you want a holstered Heavy Chainsword take the regular holstered on in the MK III set, carefully remove the blade so that the sling is still intact, then chop up an Assault Marine Eviscerator (you can generally get them on bits sites, too) and stick that massive Chainsword blade in its place for a bigger, heavier looking Chainsword.

Since the chainswords are already larger than typical, you could always just cut the end off one and glue another blade on at the end to increase the length.

Problem solved, I'm just gonna use them as standard chainswords. From what I can tell the heavy chainsword isn't much of an upgrade, and the points will be much better off elswhere.

Thank you all for your input though!
