I asked this in another post but the topic was different so I thought I might ask it a different way (now that I have the specific rule in front of me for clarity).
The Locus of Trickery goes like this: each player turn you roll a D6; if an enemy to hit roll targeting the model with the Locus, or his unit, rolls that number it counts as a miss. So the question is: if a model with the Locus of Trickery leaves his unit and joins another unit , does A) the effect move with him to the other unit, B) stay with him and the original unit but doesn't transfer to any other unit he joins (per Ongoing Effects) C) get shared between the two units. Also if there are multiple Locii in a unit, do I roll once for the effect, or several times, and choose which to apply? In this case, I would argue that you roll once (as that is part of the effect). Furthermore, if an Independent Character from the bearer's original unit leaves it, the character would retain the effect of the Locus, but it would not transfer to any other unit he joins (per Ongoing Effects)?
Example: if an Exalted Flamer leaves a unit with the Locus of Trickery, he would retain the effect (say discount rolls of '6') but the effect would not transfer to any other unit he joins. In this case, say I was to cast invisibility on a unit of horrors which the Flamer joined, would it be the case that A) that unit cannot be hit for a turn, or B) the unit can only be hit on a '6' but in hth, as this is the only place that it would matter, the exalted flamer cannot be attacked? Also in a unit with mixed 'to-hit' roll effect how is the final to-hit roll determined?
Please correct me if my understanding of Locii is in error here.
