I like a nice themed army. Which of these armies would you love to play against?

Cylons - obvy necron models and scythes, flayed ones, C'Tan would be sexy female 6, resurrection looking model, viper looking model from FW too....could be a colonial & cylon army...

Aliens - tyranids, mostly genestealers, greenstuff elongated heads, wire and greenstuff tails, paint black, add saliva effect...

Titanfall - tau mechs, taurox trucks and use Militarum Tempestus Scions as Tau....can make their dropships from Valks!

Tiger Claws - lots of catty bits from Fantasy & 40k range, run as space wolves, tiger pattern color, etc...run as Astral Claws too...

Destiney - did this a bit before, DE models work good, reavers, etc...

USCM - space marine scout models and bunch of razorbacks....new DW drop ship as Valk

Apes - greenstuff, beastmen heads, ork bodies....

I think an aliens army would be sweet.

Aliens, Destiny, and Titanfall get my vote.

I'd say Necrons and Tau are your more powerful tabletop armies, with Necrons being super-duper tough, while Tau are super-duper killy.

My greatest regret, as an IG player, is that when I started, neither Tau nor Necrons were "real" armies. I wanted to play shooty, so I went with Guard. Sigh.

My next greatest regret is that when I wanted to start a second army, I already had a shooty army, so I wanted to play an assault focused army... at the beginning of 6th. Blood Angels sounded like a good plan, since my favourite colour is Red.

That sounds really cool. The rest? Not so much.

None of the above. I'd rather play against a 40k army.

** BUMMER!! **

Teen Titans, anyone? Who else has kids?

Anyhow, I find that so long as things are consistent, there isn't a big deal. But that internal consistency is required. No Tau Pulse Rifles as Plasmaguns, then the next squad has Plasmaguns as Plasmaguns... that sort of thing.

You may find that mixing units, like Tau Mechs with MT Scions creates a conflict of style. There's a real Anime flavor to Tau units, while MT are more... Hmmm... Rifts, maybe? I'm having a hard time placing the "Masked Goons in Heavy Armour" look. Maybe North American comics? The Guv'mint always getting you down schmucks?

Anyhow, my experience is that a paint scheme can only carry you so far, if you're looking for a unified appearance.
