Here's a few Veterans from my current Deathwatch army commission that I'm just finishing up. You can see plenty more in my P&M Blog, but here are the highlights.

Cheers for looking, I'll update with the rest of the force once it's all done and dusted! Any thoughts, comments, gallery votes and feedback are more than welcome!

That's some good stuff there! I especially like the sergeant; that's just a wonderful pose.

Top notch!

And some, I assume, are good people."

Going against the current here but I really don't like them. The painting's good but the style is just...dull. I know Deathwatch are black and silver but these guys look like you've drybrushed them with grey or silver and then just picked out the Boltguns in red. Even the chapter shoulder pads like Ultras or Sallies I would expect a bit of colour to, but they're just too muted.

Eh, thats Paradigm's shtick. Its fair not to like it.

Personally, I like really really bold, bright models, but I think that he does the muted thing very very very well, a lot better than the other weathering I've seen, I generally look forward to his posts as its always nice to expose yourself to different forms of painting, especially well executed ones

Totally fair enough, as gummyofallbears said that's just the style I gravitate towards (fortunately also the style the client was specifically after! ) and it's not going to be to everyone's tastes! I'm probably just as uninspired by clean, bright and colourful Marines as you are by these in a lot of cases, the great thing about this hobby is that there really isn't a right or wrong way to do it!

Damn, that marine with the chaos helmet and the two handed thunder hammer is just so evocative and menacing, I love it. All of these have a nice bit of character to them. Would it be fair to say that you're one of those painters who thinks up quick little story blurbs for each model to place it in a "scene"?
