Wanted to share my test mini for a tallarn army I was contemplating. Used a max mini head and some green stuff over the face to look more generic. Maxmini was very good stuff. Probably the best resin i've purchased.

This was Real quick something like 2.5 hours. Trying to figure out squad markings and army theme. Was thinking of "desert fox theme" and making a custom fox icon. CC welcome

Very nice work, the head and backpack are definitely enough to pass as a Tallarn, and the paintwork is great!

Looks very nice. I like the colors very much. I recommend looking at Mad Robot's newly released desert fighter heads and parts. Anvil industry also has a few new desert fighter heads and bits.

Definitely passable. I think, if anything, he looks like an adviser from Cadia deployed with a Tallarn unit etc. I think the overall look works fine though. I do think you could do better with a scheme - as it is essentially a basic Cadian looking them on the guy right now. I think a really different scheme could set them apart as coming from a different world.

Thanks for the CC. I'm trying to get a little bit away from all the old school every guard regiment is different mentality and using the stock cadian as a base. Like cadians on a desert world I guess.

I actually just picked up a 10 from madrobot and some backpacks to check them out. If they don't work out ill just use a lot of max mini as they offered to send me multiples of the same design !

Excellent job and paint scheme.

I do have to agree that it gives an impression of cadian troops being stationed on a desert world, but considering the limits to available tallarn minis I have to say that this would work very well out.

Personally I would probably go for more 3rd party conversion parts. But honestly I would still base the basic model on the cadian troops.

Nicely done!

I know it wont leave much in the way of variation between armour and clothing, but for desert rats take a look at the standard equipment of the 8h army. Maybe just a darker shade for the armour, but keep the fatigues the same light colour as in the picture?

Also I'd personally use as arms with rolled up sleeves etc as possible.

I think the green pads are going to switch to brown like the old tally models and one pads going white with the decals I choose. Should be a lot different
